TITLE: HUG #1
DATE: April 26, 1999
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: Just a few months before I did this, I met a wonderful person, she was
intelligent, independent, witty, friendly, and ambitous, among lots of other things. She
inspired me more than anything I can remember. This was a product of it. This is one of my works
that I would never wish to part with.
TITLE: HUG #2
DATE: April 29, 1999
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: Days after I did "Hug #1", inspiration grew more intense, so I grabbed
my pencil and drew my night away. "Hug #1" and this one are my two most treasured pieces.
TITLE: HUG #3
DATE: June 14, 1999
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: I thought it would be wonderful to make a series of the "Hug" theme, so
I worked on a third one. But it didn't turn out to be as good as the other two. I wasn't very
happy with this one, hence, the end of "Hug".
TITLE: ALONE #1
DATE: 1999
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: One of those drawings that I did just because... this one (to my
surprise) touched a lot of people.
TITLE: ALONE #2
DATE: September 12, 1999
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: After seeing some of my drawings, somebody asked me if I can draw a
woman beside a window, so I tried it out. I enjoyed doing this one. This is the first and only
time I drew wet glass.
TITLE: ALONE #3
DATE: May 14, 2000
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: Another one of those drawings that I did because there was nothing else
to do. "Alone #1", "Alone #2", and "Alone #3" are not directly related with each other like the
"Hug" series. I saw a "similarity" among them that I gave them a single title.
TITLE: SPHINX
DATE:
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: This was a homework (from college).
TITLE: ALONE #1
DATE: 2000
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: Yet another one of those "because I don't have anything to do" drawings.
This is a "first and only" serious drawing I did of a robot.
TITLE: MONA
DATE: 2000
MEDIUM: Pencil on paper
ABOUT THIS PIECE: The last of my "pencils" and also of the "just because" drawings, this
was copied from a picture of an officemate. It was never finished.
